“... There is no doubt that already with his Serpentines the artist took the initiative to overcome the plan and the conception of a sculpture based on geometric figures. This occurred in a gradual process. First with tubular shapes; then spirals, to conclude, both in the polychrome and in the chrome Serpentines, in the line as the main element. In this formal synthesis —but alluding to an object of very popular use such as the serpentine— space plays a predominant role as a shaping element of the figure, as does the force of color...” *Art Nexus Magazine No. 113.
